The Cruise Committee is committed to providing opportunities for everyone in the club to take part in events on the water throughout the summer. We realize that cruising means different things to each of us. It is often a combination of the sailing, the socializing, large club events, and new places or experiences. We all have different boats, capabilities, and confidence levels. With that in mind, the cruising program is geared towards maximizing club participation. Below is a sample of past MCYC favorites.
Memorial Day Cruise – A progressive boat crawl, poolside BBQ, Blessing of the Fleet & burning of the winter socks.
Commissioning Raft Up – Swim, nosh & swap summer dreams along with the ceremonial hoisting of our new Commodore up the mast.
4th of July Fireworks – Exquisite fireworks erupt above revelers sampling libations and samplers below.
Summer Cruise – Pick your own ports with club meet-ups at ports from Connecticut, Long Island and Rhode Island.
Tumbleweed Cruise – Favorable winds and currents grace this comfort cruise. There are no plans until the day of the cruise and go wherever the wind blows.
